Siberian Sleighride, ala Robert
Description
Submitted by: PJ
This is a great Yuletide treat (or winter treat) that can be enjoyed after your holiday meal, after a day of skiing, or when you are sitting around the tree and about to open your presents.
This drink was a speciality of my beloved stepfather Robert, and to honor his memory we recreate it every Christmas. As we sip it we remember what a great person he was and relive our time with him.

Cocktails
1 & 1/4 oz Vodka
3/4 oz White Creme de Cacao
1/2 oz White Creme de Menthe
1/2 cup Vanilla Ice Cream
3 Ice Cubes
Grated Nutmeg
3/4 oz White Creme de Cacao
1/2 oz White Creme de Menthe
1/2 cup Vanilla Ice Cream
3 Ice Cubes
Grated Nutmeg
Methods/steps
In the blender place;
Vodka, Creme de Cacao, Creme de Menthe and one ice cube. Blend until the ice cube is crushed. Add the second, then the third ice cube till you have made a "slush". With the blender running, add the ice cream a spoonful at a time until you reach the "milkshake" consistentcy that you like....more for a thicker drink, less for a thinner drink. Pour into a special glass like a champagne flute, a brandy snifter, or a wide mouthed martini glass. Garnish with fresh grated nutmeg. If you are not a nutmeg fan, add crushed peppermint candy, or shaved chocolate (white or dark) instead. You can adjust this recipe up or down depending on your own tastes. If you want it stronger, add more liquor....if you want it thicker, add more ice cream, etc. You can make this drink in a batch of multiples, but serve it immediately since it is best icy cold.
