3 pears
3 pints blackberries
3 TBSP lemon juice
1/4 C.orange juice
2 TBSP grated orange zest
1/4 TSP ground cinnamon
Pinch nutmeg
1/4 sugar
1/2 C. uncooked rolled oats
1/4 C. flour
1/3 C. dark brown sugar
3 TBSP unsalted butter
· Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and quarter the pears and cut out their cores with a small paring knife. Thinly slice the fruit and immediately toss the pears with the lemon juices to prevent discoloration. Combine the blackberries and pears with the orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Arrange the fruit in an even layer in a 9-by13-inch baking dish.
· Combine the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and use your fingers to create a coarse meal. Pat the topping over the fruit and bake in the center of the oven for 45 minutes. Serve immediately, at room temperature, or chilled.
