Brookfield Oval (LG)
7 large apples (baking - I use a combo of granny smiths and macoun)
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. rolled oats
1 c. flour
1 stick of butter (room temperature)
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. rolled oats
1 c. flour
1 stick of butter (room temperature)
Methods/steps
Slice apples and toss in 1/4 c of the sugar. Arrange in casserole dish.
Combine remaining sugar, oats, flour and butter until crumbly. Cover apples with topping. Bake 1 hour at 350.
*Other fruit also can be combined with the apples. During strawberry season, I will substitute one apple for a cup of strawberries. Also can be done with blueberries.
